In the past few lessons we have been given a project to complete. We were all given job roles. These are the roles with explanations on each:
Artist Representation:
These people represent John Legend. They also negotiate how much to pay him.
Broadcasters:
These people broadcast the TV adverts. They have to pay the royalty agency.
Promoter:
These people promote the gig. They will organise TV adverts and Radio. They pay their money to the royalty agency.
Royalty Agency:
A company that handles money from the promoters and broadcasters. Money from songs used in advertisements on TV and Radio.
Artist:
The artist performing, John Legend, will perform and will expect to be paid accordingly. This is the job of artist representation.
Unions:
The job of the unions is to improve the wages, hours and working conditions for all people involved.
